More than 1,000 new citizens from nearly 100 countries are sworn in Wednesday at the Sacramento Convention Center, where hundreds of the immigrants also stood in line to get brand-new Social Security numbers. Following the recent state trend, more – about 450 – were born in Asia than the number – 160 – from Latin America.
