It's been more than a year since the U.S. Congress passed a massive stimulus package, and, as of March 31, roughly $400 million of the $1.1 billion in stimulus finding awarded to Sacramento-area projects has been spent. School districts used about half of all stimulus money spent so far to save jobs and maintain lower class sizes during the past year. The remaining $700 million will largely go toward infrastructure projects -- roads, dam repair and water and power meters.
