This is how Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park looked before it was dammed for San Francisco's water supply in 1923. To the right, Kolana Rock towers over the valley. To the left, Tueeulala and Wapama Falls tumble to the valley floor, through which the Tuolumne River meanders.
