The U.S. housing market isn't expected to come roaring back next year, according to many analysts. A Wells Fargo economist says excess inventory, bloated by foreclosures and bank-owned homes, will continue to put downward pressure on housing prices, and builders will remain on the sidelines waiting for an upturn.
