Ernie Johnson, the brother of 2nd Lt. Hilding Roy Johnson, and his daughter, archaeologist Dawn Johnson, go through the mementos of their World War II pilot relative in Sacramento in 2009. Ernie Johnson died a year later. This week, his brother's remains were returned to the family, an event spurred largely by Dawn Johnson's efforts.
